Rita Hayworth's Daughter Rebecca Welles
The Lady Eve replied to Pal_Joey's topic in Information, Please!
Her name was Rebecca Welles Manning. She died in Oct. 2004 in Tacoma, WA. Her obituary in the Tacoma News Tribune simply states that she "passed away peacefully... at home" in Tacoma. This indicates an illness but no specific charity listed or other more detailed info. -

Does anyone know the title of this film?

Thanks for the welcome. I remember you from the what's your favorite scene thread - you wrote about *Meet Me in St. Louis* (one of the best ever). So far, I have no cat scratches from the online community and can see that all love/relish classic films as I do. What an oasis TCM and the online group are! As to *Caged Fury*, when I read the initial post by _Dewey1960_ that Buster Crabbe played "Smiley" the murderous clown, something clicked. I have never liked Buster Crabbe and the name "Smiley" seemed familiar. Who knows, tho, till I see it. If it's the right movie but I mis-remembered the ending I guess I'll have another question: what noir-ish B-movie from the 40's ended with the villain losing his grip at the end of a pier and falling to his death into the ocean? -

I'm new, so not sure what you mean by *let TCM Programmer know*. As to a marathon of killer clowns at seedy circuses - yikes, I don't think so , the one in question scared the bejesus out of me when I was very young and I'm not sure I could take 24 hours of a slew of them now...unless, of course, it would help solve this age-old mystery of mine! -

The film was released in the 30's and the timeframe within the film is brief, essentially the length of a trip. Also: an international cast, an exotic location.

Hawkins, Herbie - Hume Cronyn in *Shadow of a Doubt*

It's possible my memory of the ending is wrong - I last saw the film when I was 7 or 8. I might've gotten endings of two movies mixed. I'm going to buy the VHS of *Caged Fury* (it's available as cheap as $13) to check it out. However, if you know of any other noir-ish B-movies of the 40's that involve a seedy circus and a killer clown, let me know, I will pursue all leads. I appreciate your help - lots of information. On my own I was hitting a brick wall. -

Just an FYI, a few days ago I posted "Police Desk Sergeant" as a character and received the following reply from _cmvgor_: *Please note the opening post of this thread. Job titles do not qualify as character names. Participation of all posters is welcome, but please keep this in mind for the future.*
