Mais oui. It is considered a delicacy, actually.

French food is very good, too! I love escargots (that's french for "snails")

Oh, that face, that fabulous face. Whose is it?

Well, I'm stumped -
The entire cast is very good in it. And I think even the period detail is good, although I remember most of it being set indoors.

I know it's a very long shot, but could it possibly be Marlene Dietrich? -
I think *Big Night* is about restauranteurs who put together a really big, fancy feast. It's been a while since I watched it.

Ingrid Bergman before she had braces? -
Yes, that was definitely the movie Bronxgirl was talking about. It was a pretty good romantic comedy, Bridget Fonda and Nic Cage had good chemistry.

Thank you, Armand! That's a great photo. I'll try to add a few myself now and then. Message was edited by: ObamaGirl

I've loved and admired Lena Horne since the first time I caught a glimpse of her in an old MGM musical, and I couldn't find any threads here that were expressly devoted to this great and very talented star. Please feel free to share any photos, stills, videos, etc. B-)

That's a very nice list, Jake! I love Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and the Mamas and the Papas. Some of my favorite videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wI6uAOHzvo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eu3WIXuzmo

Forbidden Hollywood Collection Vol. 3 (on DVD and on TCM)

Isn't there another documentary that is included in the DVD set but which TCM did not show last night? -

Sometimes it makes for a more compelling movie, I agree. But such situations are also often very bittersweet. I don't want to take the discussion off-topic, but *The Umbrellas of Cherbourg* comes to mind. Having said that, the important thing is that the ending seem true to the story. I don't like movies that feel like they have a tacked-on happy ending.

Like happy endings better?
