Those are terrific, Armand. What did you use to colorize them?

> "The Man with the Golden Arm" is quiet a different type of title.
I wonder why that man was so _quiet_. You know, the man with the golden arm.

> There are some great pix there posted by ArmandDuval. I particularly like and remember Suzy Parker in "The Best of Everything." Remember how obsessive she got over Louis Jourdan??
That was a great movie!

I was sad for Parker's character when she fell to her death. Joan Crawford was pretty good in it, too.

"Mine Own Executioner" sounds interesting. I love that TCM would schedule a whole evening of Burgess Meredith movies. He was such a sweet guy. :x

> According to imdb she appeared in two episodes of Burke's Law. I might have to start hunting around for her tv stuff.
I checked on Netflix. "Who Killed April?" is on disc 1 of Season 1, Vol. 2.
The other episode, "Who Killed the Rabbit's Husband?" aired during the 2nd season, which is not yet out on DVD.

> I must get A Tree Grows in Brooklyn on DVD!
April,
The movie is not out on DVD yet. Fox keeps promising, but no release date so far.

I agree, it's a very beautiful painting. It's got a great feeling to it, so glad you posted it.

That was an interesting story, Kid. I don't know if anyone in the forum has ever played in an MMORPG, but it's amazing how much you can grow to care for your online friends.

The screencaps are great, molo, but it's even funnier with all the special effects and sound effects:
-
I like the sequel better!

> nasty peoples always get their comeuppence.
even so, that doesn't justify "torture threads"

Hey, a route 66 rambler. Imagine that!

I've never watched it, but I'm looking forward to "Zotz!", which is scheduled for friday morning (9:45am et).
Any movie where a college professor gains super-powers can't be all bad.

-
redriver, I think you forgot to include a photo to go along with that breaking story:

-
Just a quick update - the transfer on the dvd looks pretty good, for an 80s movie. The special features include a half-hour documentary that I haven't seen yet, but it looks interesting.

Those old Philcos were great. Wish we still had ours...
-
Hope you and your friends have a great weekend, Rey! B-)
We'll look forward to hearing from you now and then.

> Perfect! Money can change people if they allow it to do so. Can you be the same person with or without money? Will it change who you are and what you value in life? What truly are the best things in life? Turkey and oysters and a dance with Belle!
Ordinarily one might say that money can be put to good use, to perform good deeds, but in the case of the Faust legend, it is inherently tainted and therefore no real good can come out of it in the long run. Being blinded by greed results in the soulless pursuit of money, and of course all the money can't make up for losing your soul.
As for turkey and oysters.... I don't know about that.
