Don't think that I'm letting the world know that The Andy Hardy Box Set is coming out, because it isn't. However, about a year back Warner said there was to be one in 2009. Does anyone have any recent information on this, because I would be in heaven if there was a box set coming soon. Thanks

Audrey Hepburn day on Tuesday, Aug. 11th!!
audreyforever replied to HollywoodGolightly's topic in General Discussions
The Prime time line up is great. However, I've seen Roman Holiday about 10 times, so there's no need for watching that. I'm psyched for Green Mansion because it wasn't out on DVD until about 3 weeks ago, and if i like it (just like every other Audrey film) I'll probably buy it. -

I love Audrey Hepburn, she is probably the greatest actress to grace the silver screen. It is to bad she didn't make more movies, but with the ones she did make, she was terrific. The 11th is looking good! -

I was anticipating Going Hollywood very much, mainly because I wanted to see Bing Crosby in 1933, but for some odd reason my cable went out and I missed it -

Wow! what a Documentary! I absolutely loved how they focused on each studio, and almost every great movie from that year too. I definitely give it 5 stars! To bad though they didn't show The Little Princess and Union Pacific, because they are not owned by Warner, but who cares, it was still great. Now they need to have it come out on DVD.

OK TCM Fans, I've got a little game for all of you! Every day I will list two movies of Hollywood's Golden Age, and you have to try to connect them in 5 moves or less. How? by Actors. Here is an example: Gone With the Wind to Double Indemnity 1. Gone With the Wind (Olivia De Havilland) 2. The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) 3. Dive Bomber (Fred Macmurray) 4. Double Indemnity Got it? OK, here is July 2nd's: Imitation of Life to Dinner at Eight Good Luck! Message was edited by: audreyforever

AUGUST (SUMMER UNDER THE STARS) SCHEDULE IS UP!!
audreyforever replied to HollywoodGolightly's topic in General Discussions
Thank You so much for posting this! I've been waiting so long for the schedule to come up. I am especially happy that Ship Ahoy (1942) is playing on the 19th. It's a forgotten one, but I saw it on TCM a year ago and thought I would never see it again. Thanks! -
Definitely Eleanor Powell, she was the best at waht she did. Hopefully TCM will show Ship Ahoy soon.

Usually for big, month long events like Summer Under the Stars, they have a downloadable schedule available at least a month or two before the event happens. I'm hoping for a John Garfield Day, Audrey Hepburn (just look at my name), and even Francis the Talking Mule!

Titles That Need Improvement
audreyforever replied to LonesomePolecat's topic in General Discussions
Despite the fact that I love the 1942 movie "I Married a Witch", that title gives away the plot.
