Anna Karenina was on in June, so it could be. I don't think it is Ninotchka, however she is Russian in there, but probably not.

This is one story I wouldn't mind being remade, as long as they make it funny (in a good way) and they don't add all the stupidity Hollywood adds to nearly every production now.
P.S. I absolutely love the 1945 version

Wouldn't it be great it TCM could select a fan a month like guest programmer to pick movies like back in April, but be able to pick 4 films?
-
Arthur, Jean

No one will ever be better than Joan Crawford in 1945's Mildred Pierce.
-
Home Alone
-
The Bible- Huston's epic adaptation
next: Ship Ahoy (1942)

HA!! I think we're a lot alike in the sense we take a lot from the library out at one time. One time I was going on a Kate Hepburn rampage and took out 7 films! But I am going to add Crossfire to my Blockbuster queue, or maybe even buy it because it was a good movie.

Jailhouse Rock
Scarlett O'Hara or Blanche Dubois

This is hard, and I may be back with a revised list, but here is what I would probably pick:
SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952) (all time favorite)
UNION PACIFIC (1939)
SABRINA (1954)
SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS (1941)
others:
ANCHORS AWEIGH
RANDOM HARVEST
THE PHILADELPHIA STORY
THE ROARING TWENTIES

"GONE WITH THE WIND" (1939) - the 70th Anniversary
in Films and Filmmakers
Posted
It is the most popular film ever made, and the monumental success that is achieved 70 years ago is one that will never be topped. Everything about it is perfect, and I hope that there is a lot of posts, because it deserves it!!! Thanks HollywoodGolightly!
