You see, I would of campaigned for Vivien Leigh, although I agree why she was not right for the part. I just adore Vivien and think she could of acted the part terriflicly.

What I have been doing now for roughly a year and a half is DVR the movies/shorts I would like to record permanently and then record it to a blank DVD.

I've always been partial to Stone, even though he may have been too old for his parts. He definitely could be sophisticated when needed, or wholesome when he was playing a small-town judge

Sounds like a wonderful day for you Fred! I wish I could take part in that...maybe I'll relax and watch 30's DVDs tomorrow -

I found The Graduate to be iniquitous and just bad, but I'm a very traditional, conservative fellow, so it makes sense. -

> {quote:title=FredCDobbs wrote:}{quote} I guess nobody agreed with me about the '60s movies. I agree with you Fred! There may be a handful of movies (no more than 8 or 10) that I enjoy made after 1960, but I'm with you, they could be limited to an hour in length. -

I have a list of my top 25 films as of January 2010, which I will be updating soon. You see, every time I watch a film made before 1960, I record it into a Word Document. I made a deal with my self that every 500 movies I would make a list of my favorite 25, ranked. As of now I'm at #962, so once I reach 1000 I'll be making an updated list From what I remember my original list included these fillms: Singin' in the Rain Niagara Anchors Aweigh Libeled Lady High Sierra Union Pacific The Devil and Miss Jones Woman of the Year The Philadelphia Story Gone With the Wind Sunset Boulevard
-
I can see where she fits the part very well, which makes me wonder who else (other than Vivien) could of pulled that part off...

I thoroughly enjoy your list ClassicEra! Singin' in the Rain is my favorite, and others include Ball of Fire and Each Dawn I Die.
