I thought he and Judy worked fine together, and it shows in the film. And I believe they were thinking of teaming them again in Royal Wedding but Judy's health canceled it. Honestly, seeing Fred in Easter Parade, I can't picture Gene doing that. Just as I can't picture Fred doing Summer Stock. -
ITA on working with Hitchcock and this movie. Even though her character is usually the same, she comes across as a different type of person because of the way she acted. If you look at her performance in Notorious, she's not as desperate as in Casablanca, but essentially her character is kinda similar.

I think it's been played on TCM before, and the print was probably good.
