I haven't seen that one, according to its description, in fact I'll have to look through what I have seen of his earlier films.
-
I noticed there are a few films she made with Joe E. Brown, which I never knew.
-
You should look at his page on IMDB; you wouldn't believe how many films he was in before arriving in Hollywood!
-
Every once in a while a tribute to him comes on TCM between movies. I always watch it.
-
Nice picks, but personally I would include the prime time film tonight, The Lady Eve.

Was John Litel in every single Warner Brothers film in the 1930's???

-
Next week my main focus is on Professional Sweetheart.
-
I love High Sierra !

No, there very hard to find. I wish I had to opportunity to see more, but they only show up at film screenings and festivals very rarely.

His Girl Friday - Fast Paced Comedy
next: Alice in Wonderland (1951, Disney)

I don't think I've ever seen Frankie Thomas so young! The youngest I've seen him is in the Nancy Drew films.

Yes, your right, it was a remake, but in 1939, were the earlier versions of Oz considered to be among the best films of all-time?
For suggestions, I think Third Finger, Left Hand could become a very successful chick flick in the 21st Century.

And a ton of here early movies I have yet to see!

His German films are really neat to watch...it goes to show what a good actor he was.
-
That is neat! It's definitely one of my favorite songs as well!
-
He adds a lot of fun to all of the movies!
-
Thanks, it should be right up my alley!

As much as the first week was great, the rest of Ginger this month will be awesome!

I would say because they are too precious and too great to be done differently.
I would say Cover Girl should be remade (if done right).

Ford at Fox... and RKO, and MGM, and WB, and Columbia...

By the way, if this film was never an Essential, it should be one!
