  1. To OllieTSB and xanticrime: I am SO grateful to you both for helping me to find "The Wrong Man", which I have since purchased and viewed again, after all these years! This movie haunted me since the first time I watched it in the '80s, and had no idea what the title was. My sincere thanks for helping me to finally watch the movie from beginning to end! luvbwmovies

  3. I saw a black & white movie on TV some years ago, and would really like to see it again; if I only knew the Title!! It was suspenseful and had a lot of mystery. It was about an innocent man who was accused of murder. He had been framed and he was trying to prove his innocence by himself. I remember him being at an old deserted lake resort hotel, trying to find out why it was deserted, and who the guests had been. I also remember him being alone in a stairwell of an apartment building. He was desperate to find who had framed him. He wore a trench coat. There were times in the movie when h
  4. I don't know about anyone else, but I watched this film this morning while getting ready for work and was totally enthralled! I was spellbound by the two main characters. Their acting was superb! And it was in Japanese with subtitles! It caught me up so much, that I called in to work to say I would be late. I just HAD to see the ending. Don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the ending was a real cliffhanger for me, and a psychological surprise. The whole story was amazing! All I can say is WOW!
  5. Thank you so much for your suggestions! I really appreciate your help. Hopefully, I will track it down. The movies you suggested seem enjoyable too, even if they might not be what I'm looking for. Good Questions, Fred C Dobbs! I think he had to find who had been on the hotel roster of the abandoned resort. It was overgrown and he went there to look for clues. Somehow, he had a list of the people who had been there. He was trying to track down those people to help him to find clues. I enjoyed the movie very much, but never found out what the name of the movie was. (We didn't have 'sear
  6. Seeing this movie only once, all I can remember about it was man who is searching for the true murderer (I think he himself was a suspect?). In his search, he comes to an abandoned summer resort/hotel where all the people who had stayed there knew each other. There was a big secret among those former guests, and he works to find out what the secret was. He also has to do a lot of 'footwork', searching in a big city, too. It may have been NYC or Chicago... I saw this BW movie once on TV. It may have been made between 1930's-1950's. I would appreciate anyone who can help with MY search to be a
  7. In the 1960's I saw this movie on TV. I have never seen it since then. I think it took place in Africa. It had something to do with local farmers. There was an oncoming invasion of army ants that were on the move, decimating crops. The local farmers dug deep trenches around their crops, filling them with water, hoping to prevent the ants from getting to the crops, but the ants used leaves to float across the trenches. I would very much like to know the name of the movie and have the opportunity to watch it again. Thanks to anyone who can help!
