  1. Kit Harrington and Robert Pattison are too young, to me. Maybe in a few years. Connery and Craig are more menacing, tough, world-weary. Cavill's best role, IMO, was as the bad guy in the most recent Mission Impossible. I'd vote for him to be a Bond villain, maybe an agent gone rogue.
  2. I loved Siskel & Ebert. I didn't always agree with them but it was a great way to find out about new smaller movies. It's too bad that there isn't just a show that reviews new movies anymore. I know that they tried different versions of it after Siskel and Ebert passed away. (A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips did it for a short time. They were my favorite although not as feisty as S & E.)
  3. Rae Allen was in A League of Their Own with Geena Davis
  4. From "Grease" Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee. Also mentions Doris Day, Rock Hudson Next: Sung by Betty Hutton
  5. Ticket to Ride ("Help") Beatles Next: Danny Kaye
  6. Iceman, played by Val Kilmer in "Top Gun"
  7. If it's Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium (1969) Next: Sweden
  8. We have an older friend who loves movies and saw many of what we consider "classics" when they came out. But there are movies that we were surprised he had never seen. We recommended "The More The Merrier" and "Talk of the Town". He never liked Jean Arthur for some reason growing up but really enjoyed them now.
  9. That's another on that seemed to have gotten more love over the years. I like Tim Curry but I'm not crazy about Clue. Murder By Death is a similarly silly movie mystery that I liked. It might be an acquired taste, though. A boozy Truman Capote is the bad guy.
  10. The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1969) Next: Hippies
  11. Michelle Pfeiffer was in Grease 2 with Tab Hunter
  12. Marlon Brando was in The Freshman with Matthew Broderick
