What does your mom think of the movie night selections?  Not knowing where the retirement community is, I'd suppose certain areas of the country might be a more receptive audience for those Christian films.  I wonder if your mom's retirement community would take requests if there were movies residents would prefer to see.  

I'm not sure about the exchange about Poitier and Gable.  Perhaps since Poitier just passed away this year, he seemed much more modern, recent vs Clark Gable who starred in GWTW (1939) and It Happened One Night (1934), both films over 80 years old.
