Bill - I'm glad someone else loves Night Train to Munich. Never gets any attention. Fxyredman - love that you topped 1973 with American Graffiti and The Sting. Love those movies. And I'm pleasantly surprised to see some of my favorites on there that it seems like no one else notices, i.e. 1776 & Heaven Can Wait It might be interesting to compile a TCM Users list of the greatest films of all time, with us all submitting a list to one person and compiling it based on rank...

I love Trace, I do. And it's true that the later films are painful. It just depends on the episode. It seems like if a movie is too bad the commentary can never be funny enough to endure the pain (like Master Ninja I). Then there are some that the movie isn't quite bad enough and you find yourself getting a little interested in the plot. The ones that are bad but not horrifyingly bad are the best---so bad it's funny, not so bad it hurts. That's what I've discovered for myself anyway.

I couldn't chose between the two. I love Gene's athletic style as much as Fred's polished "tapping" style, but I like more of Fred's actual films, but Gene is the better actor IMHO, but I prefer Fred's singing voice and song interpretation. So, yeah, couldn't chose.

This is interesting. I prefer Mike to Joel, and my favorite ones are the more recent movies as you call them, mostly because you can actually hear their dialogue. And my favorite seasons are 8-10, with Bill Corbett. I wonder if it's because you guys came to the show when Joel was on doing 50s stuff and didn't like the change. (I came to it after the show was off the air and saw whatever I could get my hands on).

These famous foreign sisters made one movie together before ONE of the sisters died in a car accident. The other went on to a great career. Who were the sisters and what was the film?

I'll bite. A Twilight Zone episode made me think of this great quote: "We dream of youth. We remember it as a time of nightingales and valentines, and what are the facts? Maladjustment, near idiocy and a series of low-comedy disasters." What actor said this in what movie?

I'm curious now, too. Any classic film series (meaning older than Star Wars) that are a continuous story line over multiple films?

Then of course *The Incredibly Strange.......Mixed Up Zombies* is mostly musical numbers (that don't relate to the plot).

casablanca, I love how you just call it "Jan in the Pan." That should be the real title. My favorite quote from that is what they say after the doctors say we shouldn't play God: "Tag, you're God."

I don't know why, but I love *Robin and the 7 Hoods* --a fun idea (Robin Hood as a 20s gangster in competing speakeasies), a fantastic cast of the Rat Pack, Bing, and Peter Falk, '20s musical numbers in which we finally get to see Sammy do some tap dancing, fun comedy, and some great music, including the hit song "(You've Either Got or You Haven't Got) Style" sung by Deano, Bing, and Frank. -
Awesome giant list. Apart from all the Disney animated classics I love so much (like Pinocchio), there are two of my all time favorites missing from the list: the '30s Midsummer Night's Dream and Remember the Night. But it's hard to narrow these things down to 10, I'm sure, esp 1939.
