hlywdkjk-- AWESOME! Do you know how much I wish I wrote this one? I adore the Olympics and find this so fascinating. Olympia definitely needs to be shown -- haven't seen it in years. And how cool to show Olympians in acting roles. Cool! And Albert Finney is a worthy choice for SOTM. Awesome!
(sorry I can't get all that weird coding off the post)

mudskipper got it-- your thread

Fedya, you're so good. Especially love the Hollywood rip offs-- so true. Great job.

Wow, is that really what it's called? I always assumed that tremendously fun and incredibly '60s song was called "highs and lows". But yes you're right, of course.
Your thread.

Next, identify song, singer, film with these lyrics:
"Sometimes it's hot
Sometimes it's cold
But if it's hot or cold
You learn to burn
And then you freeze
Love's like a circus
And you're on a trapeze"

This classic MGM actor once appeared on an episode on (one of my favorite shows of all time) *I Spy* as a British agent whose last name was Rickaby-Hackaby (sp?). Who was it?

from "This is My Affair" (1937)?

Fedya-- even TCM doesn't always start the day at 6am. I wouldn't worry about that so much. (I'm sure I never do)

Thanks for the correction. Most people there had never heard of him but he sucked in the audience within one number. Amazing guy.

I go to a LOT of summer concerts, and need a place to tell everyone about them. I'm not usually the only one who goes to summer concerts. So you all now have a place to write about them as well.
Just went to my first Hollywood Bowl concert of the season: Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. These people are amazing! They played Jelly Roll Morton, James Moody, and a piece from a Painter's suite about Monet. They are absolutely incredible--they all play multiple instruments and sing too. The first act was an amazing African jazz band with this incredible guy named Hugh Makela (I think...). Awesome!

It's true we really can't compare the Hugh Jackman Oklahoma with the movie because it is a filmed play. I definitely prefer the Susan Stroman choreography, though, in that, but I do love the cast in the film.
-
Lionel Barrymore blows my mind in that. Though it's a great cast, to me he steals the show

Robert Cummings
Where Leslie Caron is from (country) White Christmas song "There were never such devoted ___sters" Star of "The Courtship of Eddie's Father," Glenn ____ "You'll never get me, ___pers!" "Hello" in Spanish

Some scenes look like so much fun to be part of, even for a lowly extra. Wish I was an extra in these scenes:
* WIsh I was one of those kids in "The King's New Clothes" in *Hans Christian Anderson* --how fun reacting to Danny Kaye!
* Wish I was one of the guests in *Animal Crackers* --they don't have to do anything but just watch the Marx Brothers be awesome, and who knows how many different things those guys ad libbed in different takes.
* Wish I was one of the "church guests" in the "Mister Booze" number in *Robin and the 7 Hoods* --how fun to rock out to that song! Though it's prerecorded, Bing and the Rat Pack are still actually there, and I could definitely hear that song a lot
And you?

Okay Flash you got me curious, and my searching hasn't worked out---which one is Tucker Smith in H2$? Which numbers can he be seen in and doing what?
-
Flashback seems to know who he is. Care to tell us his name and which parts I mean?
