I'll bite. A Twilight Zone episode made me think of this great quote:
"We dream of youth. We remember it as a time of nightingales and valentines, and what are the facts? Maladjustment, near idiocy and a series of low-comedy disasters."
What actor said this in what movie?

I'm curious now, too. Any classic film series (meaning older than Star Wars) that are a continuous story line over multiple films?

Then of course *The Incredibly Strange.......Mixed Up Zombies* is mostly musical numbers (that don't relate to the plot).

casablanca, I love how you just call it "Jan in the Pan." That should be the real title. My favorite quote from that is what they say after the doctors say we shouldn't play God: "Tag, you're God."

I don't know why, but I love *Robin and the 7 Hoods* --a fun idea (Robin Hood as a 20s gangster in competing speakeasies), a fantastic cast of the Rat Pack, Bing, and Peter Falk, '20s musical numbers in which we finally get to see Sammy do some tap dancing, fun comedy, and some great music, including the hit song "(You've Either Got or You Haven't Got) Style" sung by Deano, Bing, and Frank.

Awesome giant list. Apart from all the Disney animated classics I love so much (like Pinocchio), there are two of my all time favorites missing from the list: the '30s Midsummer Night's Dream and Remember the Night. But it's hard to narrow these things down to 10, I'm sure, esp 1939.

Wow, this is great! You guys will get it then that I named my car *Rowsdower* ("Final Sacrifice") because it's broken down and white.
We often ask it, "Rowsdower, have you ever bathed?"Although my absolute favorite is *The Pumaman* I love those mentioned! I also love Riding with Death and Time of the Apes.
*Squirm* is absolutely awesome, I must agree. I love the overly southern line readings of the way too southern lines: "It sure was a dilly. I never saw so much thunder and lightning in my life!"
And i must say that this is a great list of incredible episodes:
Soultaker (with Joe Estaves)
Girl In Gold Boots
Time Chasers
Zombie Nightmare*
Space Mutiny
Incredibly Strange Creatures (TBMUZ)
Jack Frost
Boggy Creek the Legend Continues
Giant Spider Invasion
Werewolf (also with great Joe Estaves) <--- we often say "You and Paul is in it for Fame and Fortune?"
...but I haven't seen these. But they must be great to be on that list, so I'll watch them soon:
Horrors of Spider Island
I Accuse My ParentsScreaming Skull

Miyazaki a foreign film star as SOTM some cracking good cinema (like Manchurian Candidate and Remains of the Day) = something I want TCM to rip off
