A very dear friend has been looking for a movie she saw in the 1940's or thereabout. The male subject in the movie is an ugly man and is married to a blind woman who eventually regains her sight but does not tell him and he continues to think she is blind. When a candle falls over the woman gets up and extinguishes it and at that time the husband realizes that she has regained her sight. She did not tell him because she didn't want him to know that she could him and now knows that he is ugly. I would very much like to find this movie for my friend because she saw it years ago with her late husband. We do not know the actors' names etc. Please, if you know the name of this movie, we would appreciate your response. Thank you.
