Actually since Stewie voice is more or less Rex Harrison Family Guy does have a classic movie connection, (of sorts)
-
The show with the little round kids is *South Park*. It's been on since 1997.
-
Original episodes are on Fox (9:00 EST / 8:00 Central and Mountain) Reruns are on TBS You local station might air them also. Original episodes of American Dad are on 9:30 EST also on Fox

Fred C Dobbs Posted What is Family Guy and who is Seth McFarlane. You Tube and Wikipedia can help you with that question. (However, Family Guy is very crass. I like it but it is what it is. Consider this some sort of warning.)
-
Seth McFarland, creator of Family Guy and voice actor for several characters, will be the Oscar Host for 2013.

How about the cats that were juggled in The Jerk.

Fred C Dobbs Said "Today an old film on ABC, NBC, Or CBS may have only 15 million people watching it.: The Major networks, (including FOX) very rarely show an old film. The only exceptions are probally the yearly showing of It's A Wonderful Life on NBC, and ABC's showing of The Ten Comandments on Easter. I don't think their rating are over 15 million. (At this point in time you the major networks don't even show a Movie Of The Week. They leave that to Lifetime. The only exception is The Hallmark Hall Of Fame, which reciently moved from CBS to ABC.)

It might be that dogs are a lot easier to train than cats.

When I started this post I was just thinking about actual movie cats. Animated cats are okay but they didn't cross mind mind. Nobody mentioned the Aristocats. The idea for this post came from being at my moms house a lot these days to drop of work. Her cat Pyewackett, (or Pi) tends to run up to me and demands to be petted. The other cat Chang Soo, (AKA Smush) just sits and glowers.

Mr Jinx from The *Meet The Parents* and it's sequels There's something I've always wondered about the cat or cats various villians are seen stroking. How did the find a feline that mellow and gentle to work with all those people. Most cats I've known were not lap cats.

Awhile ago someone posted a thread on Asta, the Thin Man's dog. I want to go the other way on this thread. Who are some famous movie cats. I can think of three: *Pyewackett* who was the Siameese from Bell Book And Candle. (My mom has a Himalayan name after him. He mostly called Pi.) *DC* from That Darned Cat, (both versions) *Tonto* From Harry And Tonto.

I remember in middle school that some kids read these film novelitzations for book reports. In order to make sure the student read the book and not just watched the movie, the student had to show one difference between the book and the movie. (I don't know what would have happened if the kid read the book and not saw the movie. It was 30 years ago. I somewhat proud to say I never gave a film tie in paperback as a book report.) There's a scene in Freaks And Geeks where a teacher lambastes a student for giving a the film novelitization of Star Wars as a book report.

His birthplace in Wal Lake Iowa is a tourist attraction. When I lived in Nebraska I saw a brochure for it.

Singer Andy Williams has died at age 84. While not an actor in the classic era, his Moon River, (written by Henri Mancini) is an important part of the film Breakfast At Tiffanys. There was a Simpsons episode where Bart, Milhouse, Nelson and Martin go on a road trip. When they find out that close to the theater where Andy Williams is playing in Branson Missouri, Nelson forces them to go out of the way to get there.

The Medved books are kind of messed up. In the Golden Turkey Awards the voted Richard Burton the worst actor of all time. Okay he made a lot of bad choices, (Exorcist 2 for example) but he gave us Night Of The Iguana, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, Look Back In Anger, Whose Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, 1984, and Equus. Even the little seen Medusa Touch had its moments.

Even though TCM showed A Dream Of Kings a month ago I just got around to watching it this morning on my DVR. I got a question. There is a scene where Anthony Quinn's character and his family are at church. During the sermon the pastor, (I'm not sure of the proper name of a Greek Orthodox priest) is railing against life insurance. I've never heard a religious leader of any type speak put against that. Has anyone out there have?
-
I don't think any channel is designed to keep a person satisfied for continous watching. I guess TCM consists of about 5 to 10 percent of my viewing. (Then again I like films from every decade, a lot of people on this board don't.)
-
Would Mental illness be considered a handicap? (for the TCM films to be condidered.) Maybe that's another ball of wax?
-
Okay it's not a movie but who can forget Johnny Sokko And His Flying Robot, (well to be honest probally most people.) It was a Grade Z kids show from Japan.
-
Gorilla's have come a long way since then, (partially in thanks to Rick Baker.)
-
Not to mention four episodes of Barney Miller.
-
So you're not talking about the cat?
-
Sounds better than the Golf Channel.

If you're interested in a show about disabilities you might want to watch ABC Family's Switched At Birth. Since one of the daughters who was switched is deaf it deals alot with that community. A certian Oscar winner has a reoccuring role in it. You can probally guess who.
