How About *Saoirse Ronan*, (recient Acadamey Award Nominee for Atonement, The Lovely Bones, Hanna.)
-
Here are more reciently recient actresses with difficult names: Eliza Dushku, (Dollhouse, City By The Sea) Magda Apanowicz, (Caprica) Emanuelle Chriqui

For our friends in Canada, (and those in America who can get the CBC.) they are showing a 2006 version of Wind In The Willows on December 28 at 1am, (Eastern Time.) Does anybody out know about this film, or any other version of the story? I know Pink Floyd name their debut after a line from the book, (Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.)
-
How about *Maria Ouspenskaya*. If were talking about current actresses we could mention *Nina Siesmaszko*, (she played one of Martin Sheen's daughters on The West Wing.) I have a thing for somewhat obscure modern actresses.
-
A guess mine is that I Watch Lifetime Movies, (although that's based on movies that I've seen rather than movies that I've haven't seen) I've never seen *My Diner With Andre* but I'm taping it right now. I've only see two Fellini films.
-
I like Christina Hendricks too. It's kind of brave of you that you admit that you watch Mad Men. It's a great show but it's on AMC. That is a channel hated, (kind of a strong word) by many members of this board. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Nicole Kidman, (maybe they have and I've just overlooked it.)

Carrie Henn: Newt from Aliens, ( not that Newt.) I'm not sure if she was in another movie.

"The way they compensated for the unorthodox ratio was setting the film projector on it's side & having the audience tilt their head at a 90 degree angle." I hope they were passing out muscle relaxants in the lobby.

I just watched *Prozac Nation*, a film made in 2001 but it wasn't released until a few years later. That made me think about films that were made but weren't release for more than two years: *Blue Sky:* Jessica Lange, (who was in Prozac Nation) won her second Oscar for this film. It was made in 1989 and released in 1994. I saw The *Plot Against Harry* when it was first released 1990. It was made in 1969. The world is still waiting for *The Day The Clown Cried*.

I don't mean to demean the reciently departed, but every time I watch Laugh In I think "this doesn't date very well." I saw Mr Sues castmate Jo Anne Whirley on a couple of things this year. She play a psychic on *Bones*, and a strange old woman on The Disney's channel's sitcom *Jessie*. She's holding up pretty well.

It's not a Powerball ticket is it? -
I case someone is curious the word used in that movie can also describe a female canine.

This morning on Xfinity I watched a holiday film called Christmas In Paradise. Near tthe end of it the cute teen girl said to cute teen boy "I'm sorry I was such a *****." I'm not a prude. I've seen The Human Centipede 1 and 2. It's just I expect certain things from a holliday movie. It was a little like watching White Christmas and hearing someone call Bing Crosby an A****ole. Then again it's 2011 and things are different.

*The Boys In The Band* would be an interesting choice. However I can see if some people would think that selection would be obvious and choose a more nuanced depiction.

I think Ken Russell was a replacement director for Arthur Penn on Altered States.
-
I'm surprised nobody's mention Altered States. Actually even including the hallucagenic images, that's kind of a straightforward film, (probally due to Paddy Chavesky's script.) Actually a few weeks ago somebody posted about float tanks. How's that for timing.

I'm from the Detroit area. I grew up with the Ghoul, (Ron Sweed) who bounced around 3 UHF stations in the 70's and early 80's. Supposedly he borrowed a lot from Svengoolie, (having never sceen him i can't say how much.)

Some Like It Hot North By Northwest -
And she was on the Brady Bunch.

Both William and Harry kind of resemble their mom, (not a redhead.) Yeah I stayed up for the wedding. Back to main topic. Other cute redheads of the last few years: Erin Chambers (General Hospital, I don't know if she's still on the show.) Jane Levy (Suburbatory) Marg Helgenberger (attractive, but to old to be called cute) I'm surprised nobody mentioned Pippi Longstocking, (I know they made a couple of movies of that story, but I don't think any of them a particullary memorable.) And last but not least, Wendy of Wendy's, (they make a pretty good chicken sandwhich.)
-
The CBC as part of their late movie showed GWTW a few years ago. They aired it over two nights in two hour blocks, (some cuts were probally made.) I'm not Canadian, (though if I was it wouldn't bother me.) I'm from the Detroit area and get the CBC on my cable system, (I can't get that weird football they play though, the CBC doesn't show that.)
-
Does anybody know who said " if I wanted to send a message I 'll call Western Union"? I think it was some old studio head but I'm not sure which one.

Laura Prepon went blond for the movie Karla. she just never went back.

{font:Times New Roman} At this point in time Mercedes McCambridge might be best known for being the voice of the Devil in The Exorcist. Now that was a preformance that resonates. I think I heard somewhere she hurt her voice for that film.{font}
