The backdrop for the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons was essentially a parody of Mounment Valley.
-
Roger Corman did this a lot. Little Shop Of Horrors was shot on the same set as Bucket Of Blood, (in about five days.)
-
I hope that the tornado the wrecked Lambert Field didn't interfere with the showing.

I have a hard time watching long silent movies but I do appriciate their historical significance. If
other people like them why not show them. TCM is for many viewers not just me.
I would have responded sooner but I was too busy downloading young Asian girls in their underwear.

Juliannne Moore was on *As The World Turns*. She put in an apperence a couple months before it went away.

I ment patriarch not matriarch when I mentioned Phillip Carey. My bad.
-
You could also add Phillip Carey. He played OLTL matriarch Asa Buchanan for many years.

I just learned on ABC Nightly News that ABC is cancelling All My Children and One Life To Live. What does this have to do with movies? A lot of actors start out in Soap Operas. Some actors that came out of those two soaps are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kim Delany, Lauren Holly,
and Ryan Phillipe. Some actors who came out of soaps in general are Roy Schieder, Tommy Lee Jones, Ann Heche, Robin Wright Penn, Demi Moore and Alec Baldwin.

In the mid 90's Sidney Lumet Directed a film called *Critical Care* about end of life treatment.
It was a comedy in the vein of Network, but it also had a vibe that was creepier than your average horror movie. This movie showed up on Comedy Central, (too new for TCM) but was barely released.

Unlike many great directors he ended with a great movie, *Before The Devil Knows Your Dead.*

I sold steaks to his mother. I was working a temp job for Omaha Steaks and the woman on on the phone said her last name was Maltin to complete the order information. I said "Oh like the film critic." She replied, "yes that's my son. He likes your steaks too." I'm pretty sure she was honest.
I looked online on some food message boards and Omaha Steaks did not get the best reviews.

I think Debbie Reynolds had her own casino for awhile, but it went the way of the Liberache Musuem. This was before the economic downturn.

What I like about THIS is that unlike TCM nobody has any expectations of it. Most people see it as a supliment and nothing more.
-
Does anyone remember seeing Abbot& Costello films on their local TV stations years ago? Our local station in Detroit, (WXYZ Channel 7) crammed them into an hour slot.
-
Last year TCM showed *The Noose Hangs High.* THIS is showing a few A&C films in April.
-
What channel was it on? I didn't see it. These are the John Cassavettes movies I've seen:
Shadows
A Child Is Waiting, (which was taken out of his hands in the editing room by Producer Stanley Kramer)
A Woman Under The Influence
Opening Night
Gloria
Love Streams
Big Trouble, (which he has a director credit, but was basically pick up and save work as a favor to his friend Peter Falk. It's not considered part of his cannon and wasn't mentioned in the movie.)
A Woman Under The Influence, Opening Night, and Love Streams are very intense films.

I just finished watching *A Constant Forge: The Life And Art Of John Cassavettes*. It was informative but at 200 minutes could have been shorter by a least a hour. After awhile the point was made. It also doesn't help that I was waiting for a futon to be delivered at the time.

Got it.
Jack Soo - Flower Drum Song
Abe Vigoda - The Godfather
Hal Linden - A New Life
Ron Glass - Serenity
-

Flower Drum Song (1961)
The Godfather (1972)
A New Life (1988)t
Serenity (2005)
Hint: the answer is related to another question I posted earlier.

There's been a couple of threads about THIS. It seems to have gotten mixed reviews.

The main Character wears an eyepatch?

I just saw the documentary *Yoo Hoo Mrs Goldberg*. It was about the radio, TV, (and one movie) character Molly Goldberg and the woman who created her. My question is does anyone remember the Radio or TV show or seen the movie. It's not repeated add infenitum like I Love Lucy and I've never seen any of it. Maybe it's to dated or the kinescopes are missing.

Liz Taylor has died. The just had a ABC special report.
