  1. I still have to watch Pandora. Heck, I still have to watch both Pandoras. Sigh. I take it the other Pandora would be *Pandora's Box*. It's a really great silent! I'll be you'll enjoy it even more than *Pandora and the Flying Dutchman* (although Ava is also very good in that one).

I know from Arthur Lyons' _Death on the Cheap_ that "Mysterious Intruder" (1946), "My Gun is Quick" (1957), "The Glass Alibi" ((1946), "The Hunted" (1948) and "I Wouldn't Be in Your Shoes" (1948) are all legitimate 'B's and should be added to the list. Looks like you could come up with a fairly good list of B noirs yourself, NatchuraLee!

I really liked her in Naked Jungle, Interrupted Melody, Woman In White, and Of Human Bondage -1946. EP is still alive... I hope she is in good health. Would love to see her again before she moves on to cinema heaven. I believe she lives in Palm Springs, California. I'm with you too in regards to the beautiful Eleanor. It's too bad she's never done a Private Screenings for TCM.
  4. It is said that Jayne Mansfield spoke 5 languages and played the violin. What a talented woman! B-)
  5. Jayne Mansfield & Mickey Hartigay
  6. Thanks, but that photo doesn't seem to be working. Let's try another one:
  7. Thanks for the screencaps/photos and the reminder, I've been meaning to watch this one for the longest time.
  8. That John Ford westerns one sounds too good to pass, thanks for the reminder! B-)

I wonder if George Stevens might actually have intended to pay homage to Ford with that scene.

If you live near a theater that does revivals, you may still have a chance at some point, it's probably one of the most popular repertory titles they can book.

Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a singl

I agree totally that his exile is self-imposed. He's seen too much and could never reconcile it with a relatively calm and happy life on the farm. He is a relic of an older time and way of life, and he simply does not fit any more. Beautifully said, I couldn't agree more. I may want to watch this again on AMC tonight B-)
