hi fred..... yes - I toured with Mitchum on the FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE and he told that story several times. supposedly he slapped Otto again on the set of ROSEBUD which is why he was replaced by Peter O'Toole. Otto was quite an enigma: offset he was charming, very funny and very very generous, but I only found one actor who enjoyed working for him - Nichelle Nichols, but I am sure that there must at one more. best/frank
