  1. Her wiki page states that her first husband was Jerry Slick, a cinematographer, and that her second husband was Skip Johnson, a lighting designer.

Jerry also played drums in her first band, The Great Society. His brother Darby Slick played guitar.

I can't get away with anything. When I posted the question, I knew that Grace, Darby, and Jerry Slick were all with Great Society. I confused Darby and Jerry's contributions to the band. That minor mistake caused you to go completely off the rails? If so, I apologize. Your thread.

  2. Grace Slick = married twice, once to a cinematographer, and then to a lighting designer

    Joan Jett = never married

Gwen Stefani = married once to Gavin Rossdale of Bush, never in a band together

    Annie Lennox = married 3 times, 1) a Hare Krishna 2)movie producer 3) a doctor

    Debbie Harry = never married

Ann Wilson = married once, but not until 2015

    Janis Joplin = never married

    What am I missing?

You are incorrect about the career of one of these female's husbands. I'm surprised, because there are songs that highlight this family tie.

  3. Yes, those are the brothers, whose real last name was Narz.  Jack Narz was married to Bill Cullen's wife's sister.  He filled in for Bill at times during the early years of "The Price Is Right".  Later, younger brother Tom also hosted a version of "The Price Is Right".  DGF, it's your turn now.

This actor played many varied characters in his TV show. He took one of them, and played a very similar character, in one of his films. Actor? TV character? the film?

  4. Female rock singer, not Pat Benatar or Tina Turner. It's not Grace Slick, Joan Jett, Gwen Stefani. Debbie Harry, Annie Lennox, Ann Wilson, Janis Joplin

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac? No, they were never married.

It's not Michelle Phillips and John Phillips, since they're both equally famous. (But I guess that's arguable)

    So I got nothing.

One of the ones you mentioned is the female half of the couple. I'm not sure why you rejected her.

  5. Not you or anyone else, it seems, as they announced that they are discontinuing the cruises.

On a cruise, if you find you don't like the other people, you're stuck. At the film festival, at least you can go to the Whiskey-a Go-Go, or the current equivalent.

  6. and thank the good Lord for that! Because no one was as hideous as Ahva.

the first time I heard of her I saw photos and thought someone was putting me on so terribly ugly i found Her, yet never seen her on the screen. I thought I had never seen such an ugly woman in my life. Well that has changed since Jennifer Aniston. But I think the people who claim both are beautiful need to check with the chef because those are not crimini and shiitake mushrooms, and get to rehab Stat. I am so glad I don't partake of them funky brownies you young'uns eat! but I am telling you. Sober? She looks like sweaty feet smell, trust me on that one!

That said, she didn't bug me too much in Mogambo. I would dare say she was totally miscast as Clark Gable love interest but then again apparently he was into manly woman folk. CoughsJoan CrawfordCoughs. I mean who knew you could be totally fugs and still bag the king of Hollywood!?

If all the guys who thought Ava Gardner was a knockout went to rehab, there would have to ne more rehab facilities than there are McDonald's.

  7. This is all the Wiki page for "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" says about his ratings, DGF...

    -----------------------------------------

Alfred Hitchcock Presents finished at #6 in the Nielsen ratings for the 1956–57 season, and at #12 in 1957–58, #24 in 1958–59 and #25 in 1959–60.[4]

Originally 25 minutes per episode, the series was expanded to 50 minutes in 1962 and retitled The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Hitchcock directed 17 of the 268 filmed episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and one of the 50-minute episodes, "I Saw the Whole Thing" with John Forsythe.[citation needed] The last new episode aired on June 26, 1965, and the series continued to be popular in syndication for decades.

    --------------------------------------------

However, after checking at another website which lists the Nielsen Ratings top 20 programs each television season during the 1960s, his hour-long program is never among those listed.

(...and so which leads me to the conclusion that his ratings continued to lower the longer his program was aired)

That is true of just about any program. Except for "Seinfeld", which continued to build for several years.

  8. Correct, Ida Lupino and Howard Duff. Too bad the tv series was short lived. wish it was re-run, many of the episodes were suppose to have been based on their real life. Your thread DGF

    She was a rock singer.

He was a rock guitarist and songwriter, and a member of his wife's lesser-known rock group.
