  1. I'd added this to the discussion on the Warner Archive Collection titles, but thought it might merit a separate discussion here in the silent forum. These titles are all silents or early talkies... *The following titles will be available on the Warner Archive Collection June 15:* *? Beau Brummel (1924)* *? Better Ole, The (1926)* *? Divine Lady, The (1929)* *? First Auto, The (1927)* *? Let Us Be Gay (1930)* *? Min and Bill (1930)* *? Old San Francisco (1927)* *? Politics (1931)* *? Reducing (1931)* *? Sea Hawk, The (1924)* *? When a Man Loves (1927)*
  2. Wife Vs. Secretary was a pretty fun movie. All 3 top stars are in top shape. Very well written, great screwball comedy.

  4. > {quote:title=fredbaetz wrote:}{quote} > Great news on "WagonMaster",just went looking for it the other day and now this word on it.Just wish they could find some John Ford/Harry Cary films they did in the teens and 20,s....Fred Baetz Yes, that would be awesome, but with the release of Directed by John Ford and Wagon Master, we're already getting a double dose of Ford this Fall. On other news, I don't think I'd heard anything about the BD release of It's a Wonderful Life until today. It's _rumored_ to be due for release on 11/3, but it is NOT official just yet. (It would make a lot of sense, obviously, to release it in time for the Holidays). Paramount might also be releasing the 2nd season of Star Trek and the movies based on The Next Generation on BD in time for the holidays - at least according to the "Rumor Mill" column at digitalbits.com

I have to agree with Joan Crawford when she stated that he was one of most masculine men she ever knew :-) I hope you'll continue to enjoy all the Clark Gable movies. He was one of a kind! Have you seen The Misfits already?
  7. I made some screencaps from the Lest We Forget short... and I wanted to share them with my fellow Coop fans!! Here he is, near the beginning of the short, with Harry Carey:
  8. Funny Girl - honoring Fanny Brice next: Funny Face
  9. Come Back Little Sheba - No more regrets next: Kitty Foyle
  10. Did anyone catch the promo for the CFU just a little while ago, after the Lest We Forget short and before Kitty Foyle ?
  11. Another Part of the Forest - Little Foxes prequel next: On the Waterfront
  12. Indeed! Is anybody else watching the short right now? It is so moving!
  13. Hi stahrmonroe - that's a great video! Thanks for posting. And to all Coop fans - don't forget the "Lest We Forget" short is coming up in about 15 minutes!!
  14. Night Has a Thousand Eyes - Listen to Triton! next: The Magnificent Dope (1942)
  15. Mmm. Could make a nice double feature with Jackie Brown. On second thought... maybe not.
  16. Michelle Pfeiffer was in The Russia House with Sean Connery
  17. hi unit91, welcome to the forums According to imdb, it is a traditional Irish jig called "Garryowen" I think it goes like this:

He made 8 films with Joan Crawford, 7 with Myrna Loy (who I really love to watch) and 6 with Jean Harlow. Those are DVD collections right there. Hi tiffany, welcome to the forums Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, I think they used to do that kind of thing (couple pairings sets) back in the days of laserdiscs. It's a shame they aren't doing it much these days (except maybe stuff like the Myrna Loy/William Powell set)
  19. King of Hearts - War is Madness next: Casanova Brown
