I looked for other threads on this topic when posting the info that was released today about Christopher Plummer. Unfortunately, the last previous post on this thread was dated March 17th, 2009 - a little bit over the one-year limit on reviving old threads.
I would have posted that in here but did not want to take a chance that this thread would be locked for reviving after the 1-year limit. The new information about Christopher Plummer narrating the "Moguls" documentary was already posted earlier today in this thread:

I'm very glad for the Wednesday night tribute to Motown on TCM, especially the showing of Lady Sings the Blues. I think this 1972 film was one of the few from its time to have a mostly African-American cast and show that you didn't need blaxploitation films to show movies about the African-American experience in America.

I don't know if the date is of any significance, but regardless, TCM has put together a really wonderful schedule for Friday - every movie has "heaven" or "heavenly" on the title.
