TCMWebAdmin's announcement made no distinction between "gallery" threads or "text" threads.

Who's talking about "banning posts"? Asking folks to resize the photos is not the same as banning photos altogether.

Kyle's thread has never been a problem, but _most_ of the "gallery threads" are very problematic indeed, due to the thread stretching problem that is now being addressed by TCMWebAdmin. I think it makes a lot of sense for them to request that we stick with a maximum size of 600x600 pixels.

 

I love all of the photos that mongo and others post, but look for example at his photo in the CANDIDS thread from yesterday - the one with Walt Disney and the Barrymores. Definitely _more_ than 600 pixels across, and a total thread-stretcher. It is a good photo, but it would be more appreciated if it was not that wide.
