Overall, I think the strengths are far greater than the weaknesses; it might have been even more effective with a slightly shorter running time. But the photography, score, performances, etc. are all first-rate, I think.

No, although they do make a "Kosher for Passover" version of their main cola drink once a year. The one I referred to is their main rival, which just came out with a version of their main drink called "throwback", which is essentially a cola drink with sugar instead of HFCS.

Not the impression I was left with. Guess others didn't feel the same way.

Robert Benchley was in The Stork Club (1945) with Barry Fitzgerald

Carroll, Nancy (Theme of tonight's schedule)

Manolo Fabregas was in The Candy Man (1969) with George Sanders
(I got to meet Fabregas once and he was an incredibly nice man, a true gentleman - so what if only two of his film credits are U.S. productions?)

Bette Davis or Betty Page?

Well I could use a good old-fashioned snack myself right about now.

In addition to Fred's suggestions, I'd recommend the original Scarface with Paul Muni, Little Caesar with Edward G. Robinson, and The Public Enemy with James Cagney, all from the early 30s.

That is just the wrong-headedness of one studio's home video division. There's no way a movie like The Blue Dahlia wouldn't sell if they put out a DVD.
