  1. I realize that Bea Arthur was never known as; a Big Screen star. Nonetheless, it is impossible to ignore her contributions to the field of acting. She was first introduced in Norman Lear's "All In The Family," but probably became best known as, "Golden Girl;" Dorothy. Why then, am I on TMC writing about her? Because she did one movie, with an Actress who was of equal stature; Lucille Ball. It would be a lovely tribute (and I don't think TMC has shown the film in a long time) to air; "Mame." Vera Charles was a wonderful character in that movie, and Ms. Arthur had an amazing on-screen chemistry with Lucille Ball. I will always remember Bea Arthur, on TV, and in a movie that, I love because it has two of my favorite Actresses in it. Sadly, I find myself writing this on the same day as Dom Deluise has Passed Away. He made many, many funny movies and I hope TMC puts aside some time to honor his contributions as an Actor as well.
