[Please help me with a movie title!!!]

Thank you!!! After reading the full synopsis, I am convinced this is the movie. I had thought it was Cary Grant or Rock Hudson, but was searching for something in divided Berlin, so came up with nothing. You have saved my sanity!!!

I saw a movie once about a woman who was visiting her father in East Berlin (I think), and while she was there the border was closed and she was unable to return to her husband and daughter in West Berlin. I know I did not dream this movie up, but I can't find any info anywhere. Maybe it takes place in another city and time, but this is to the best of my recollection. Please help! I'm going crazy trying to find it!
