Today on TCM I watched a couple of Norman Wisdom films and was reminded of a truly great British clown/comedian. Norman was not only a talented comedian, but he had a fantastic singing voice and was a multi-talented musician, playing 6 or so different wind instruments, the piano and the drums. I checked tcm.com for more Norman Wisdom films and was severely disappointed to not find any listings. How has TCM managed to overlook such a talented comic/musical genious? Norman is now 94 years old and living in a nursing home in England. A very sad ending for a man that brought great laughter and tears through his comic genious for decades. I remember seeing him in a live show at British sea-side resort called Skegness when I was 17 years old (I'm now 50). I laughed so much that my ribs ached for days later. Please, please, TCM, can we have a tribute to Norman Wisdom day? There are quite a few clips on youtube for anyone interested in learning about this great man.
