Thanks! I just had that thought. My great great uncle, Ray Long, published short stories and one was from Edna Ferber. Uncle Ray worked for Randolph Hearst. Ray Long published Cosmopolitan or some magazine. Check his books out on ebay under "My Stories I Like Best." Too bad he died many years ago, I could have asked him.

 

This is a great movie- check it out in the summer, maybe outside. James Dean, Liz Taylor, Rock (before) Hudson. Great Texas flick if you're in the mood.

but did anyone ever notice "Giant" tells the story about bad Texans and Mexican relations but portrays east coast Americans and African Americans as too good to be true? And, there's no mention about europeans stealing the east coast from native Americans but Texans stole Mexico? It's like one world is ok but the other world needs a book written about it. Watch the movie.
