I think it was the Korean War. A small army patrol is trying to get back to their unit on top of a hill. Along the way they pick up a nurse. When they get to the top of the hill their unit is not there. They dig in anyway and the next morning the enemy attacks. The nurse calls the Navy for an artillery strike and saves the day.
