Were both Oscars for acting by the same person? Or did he/she accept the award on behalf of the film? Like Roberto Benigni who was Best Actor in 1997 and accepted the award for Best Foreign Film for LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. Message was edited by: allaboutlana

?I?ve been very fortunate to have a long career in Hollywood. I?ve made a lot of great films with a lot of talented costars, including three I made with a very charming fellow. It has even been said that we, this fellow and I, were like champagne on screen. I?ve always been a romantic at heart, too, and, in fact, my fondest memories are of one particular movie that I made without him. I have been nominated numerous times for an Oscar. I was among the first to be nominated for a comedy. Twice, twice for a comedy. Two years in a row, I think. But, I never won. I think about my fans who wanted me to win. I?m grateful for them and their devotion. You know, I wouldn?t have gotten into films, if it hadn?t been for the Metropolitan Opera Company. I wanted so much to be a part of them, but it wasn?t meant to be. But, you chalk it up to experience and move on. You see, you have to have perseverance and a kind of joy of being here, joy for living and not taking things too seriously. It?s funny though, future filmgoers may not know of me, for many of my films have been remade. But, you don?t take life for granted. You have to remember who you are and where you come from. Family. Family is what matters. Those trips down the Mississippi River with my father, who was a steamship and riverboat inspector and Mama. I got my love of music from her. ? ?Who am I?? THE BIG HOUSE
-
Montgomery Clift was in A PLACE IN THE SUN with Shelley Winters.

I think the partner of this actor in question is Lon McCallister. (The Red House,The Story of Seabiscuit) I think the actor in question is William Eythe. (The Ox-Bow Incident and The Song of Bernadette) But I?ve never heard of him, even though I?ve seen The Song of Bernadette and love it. If I?m right, I will come up with something to guess.

Ritter, Thelma
-
SLIGHTLY DANGEROUS with Lana Turner and Robert Young. If that's right, I don't have one to guess.
-
Parker, Eleanor

No to both. I will explain Clue #3, though I probably shouldn?t: it?s not a tree, or any part of one. (This next clue will give it away, if you really think about it.) Clue #5: Our Father who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name?.
