Thanks for playing Edythe, but just wanted to supply the full answer, so everyone would know Linda Hunt won an Oscar for (playing a man in) The Year of Living Dangerously. What's in parentheses you left out of the answer and really makes the statement and what she did more distinctive and was the crux of it. Here is Edythe's new post Kiss rocker with family jewels, _ ____ Jimmy Durante sang " __ Time Goes By" artist _ Moses Meryl Streep's oscar winning role in ___'s Choice we try to fill__ the blanks + 2010 James Franco film ____ (s) '85's ___Violations + Redford starred in The Last ____. An early 1960s film was remade as a tv movie in 1976, with an actor who's won two Oscars and an actor/dancer most famous for one legendary role. It also starred an actress who would be the matriarch of a much beloved family show, which started the same year this tv movie was made. (Hint: not The Waltons). It also starred an actress who would multiple Emmys for a groundbreaking show that was yet to come. But the movie was mainly about the two-time Oscar winner. With that information, can you guess the tv movie? Edited by: allaboutlana on Feb 6, 2012 7:30 PM

It's all correct, except for the fact I was referring to Paulette Goddard as the Oscar-nominated actress, because I said she appeared in this tv show eight years after her last film, which is true. But it is true that Jill Clayburgh was Oscar-nominated, too. In fact there's a lot of great talent in this one episode, which I think is considered the best episode of the bunch. Art Carney was so good in this, but he did not continue with his role. A lot of fun, and Mildred was so great in it, she won the Emmy. This did not last longer than two seasons though, for some reason. (I figured I had supplied enough info without telling everything.) Your thread.

{font:Calibri}Thanks. 8 years after her last film, this Oscar-nominated actress appeared on the first episode of a tv show in the early 1970s, as part of the NBC rotating roster of sleuths and which also featured several notable and recognizable stars of tv and film. The sleuths included an Emmy winner, for this show, and an Oscar winner. They are aided by another Oscar winner who doesn’t really want any part of it, but only helps because the others need some looking after! Name the show, the three actors who played the sleuths and the Oscar-nominated actress who was the special guest star.{font} Edited by: allaboutlana on Feb 6, 2012 2:16 PM

I don't know if this actor has been discussed or not, but this broadway actor, who was lucky enough to reprise his role in the film version of this musical, also had a resurgence of his film and tv career, due to a popular film of the mid-1990s. Name the actor, the musical and the 90s film.

They were all dubbed by Marni Nixon. I was just going to add it, as an afterthought, and saw you had already responded.

When their Broadway plays, *West Side Story, The King and I, My Fair Lady* were made into films, they didn't reprise their roles? And, I believe all the leading actresses had to be dubbed. Edited by: allaboutlana on Feb 6, 2012 9:36 AM
