  1. {font:Times New Roman}"Born in St. Louis in 1913, I became a star in films, as a heavy, due to my imposing looks. Some of the leads in my movies were Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Chester Morris and Susan Hayward. But I enjoyed even more fame on a 1950s tv show, where I made many people happy by being very generous. And, I enjoyed a career as a recording artist by way of telling stories. My records of Dr. Seuss won Grammies. I also was the narrator of a very popular 1960s/1970s tv show. One of my last projects was narrating a short-lived tv show of the 1980s, which inspired the movie of the same name, which led to sequels. Do you know me?"{font}
