  1. A widower remarries, which upsets his sons who expected to inherit the house and the land. One son in particular is adamant about getting what's due him. When they see their new stepmother, they are surprised.

    Any guesses?

  2. This is a case of Blake Edwards' writing at his best. All the stars are dynamic in their performances, but its Edwards' way in telling the story with wit, style, and flair that is really the star of the show, as he totally envelopes the viewers in the time and place and shows his affinity for the film's characters and portrays them as three-dimensional, complicated people. I have always loved this film and every time I see it, it just gets better and better. Edwards was a gifted storyteller and this is one example of it, and may just be his best.
