  1. But people of color, women, and other marginalized groups are socially and through our exclusive justice system are guilty until proven innocent. If everyone was treated like the white man in America, then everybody would be allowed the privilege of innocent until proven guilty. That's not the reality though. The reality of our justice system is that abusers, accused and proven, get off more than they are held accountable. The reality of our justice system is a disproportionate amount of women are blamed for the crimes committed against them in a court of law, as there are barely any law
  2. Abuse is a strong accusation to disprove. Not that courts of law are good at proving them.
  3. I appreciate this so much. What should happen today, in my honest opinion, is to pray for a deathbed confession from Robert Wagner. Until then, pay attention to when you hear about abuse involving a famous person, and people who believe themselves to be famous even when they aren't.
  4. It means that Natalie Wood's warning about Robert Wagner's behavior should be taken seriously, and her death doesn't invalidate it not being so just because she can't speak. She did. Did anyone believe her?
  5. Clearly bringing up healthy speculation and dignifying Natalie Wood's own words on the case got someone's undies in a bind- but it does lead me to wonder about those who are calling "witch hunt" whether or not they are just defensively doing so because they have something to hide. Like I said, this is just my opinion on the matter, you don't have to agree with me on my thoughts on Natalie Wood's death. I think there is enough reasonable doubt on Robert Wagner still. I think just because Natalie Wood is dead doesn't mean her warning people of Robert Wagner's behavior towards her isn't inv
  6. Sorry, Robert Wagner. Gotta love this abusive patriarchal culture we live in- a woman says she is being abused, and has to prove it, and whomever she accused is the "real victim" of "hearsay and gossip" because who would believe a woman? As a supporter of the #MeToo movement, maybe its #TimesUp for Robert Wagner.
  7. Whether you agree with me or not, the fact that Natalie did say that she was being abused by Richard Wagner and she felt he might try to kill her, and she winds up dead doesn't mean she can't speak for what actually happened. It means no one listened to her when she did speak. Abuse victims need to be believed always.
  8. Well, if Lara was as close to Natalie as she claims, she might know. I mean, unless there is a friend who is still alive. There's possibilities.
  9. Stories of present and past sexual harassment and violence are coming out of the woodwork, and are finally being believed. Natalie Wood's death could be one of those cases. The timing is right for clarity.
  10. I think when someone says "Donald Trump raped me" that that isn't an un-provable accusation. Of course, Robert Wagner isn't as repulsive, he just will probably get a "person of interest" distinction because the justice system in this country is run by and enables rich, old, cisgender, heterosexual, white men. Accountability is beginning to have ground finally in this country, and it doesn't matter how many cobwebs you have to untangle to see that what's been buried still has resonance of universal experiences for those marginalized by oppression and oppressors.
  11. Maybe, but you never know what a death bed confession might reveal (not that it has to come to that). Also, considering how #metoo is revealing years of sexual abuse/violence, and doing away years of legal cover-ups, it might be possible. All anyone has to do is plant reasonable doubt.
  12. Great! Maybe we can find somewhere- a happy, middle, affordable, classy locale and meet.
  13. I don't know if I think he's innocent. Let alone Christopher Walken. But then again, if Olivia de Havilland can come across as a goody-goody to the public and be cruel to Joan in private, who knows the real reasons why anyone tries so hard to come off as nice. Sorry if that seems jaded. I've been dealing a lot with benevolent violence lately, and I am unsure of good intention/ bad impact individuals.
  14. Message me for details. I am on the West Side, but let's do this!!!!
  15. She is my favorite. But, since this about Natalie Wood, I do want to stay on topic. I'd love to chat more about Kate and Spence. No William Mann fanfiction though.
  16. I wonder if it is the state of policing in America to finally have a lead here. I don't know how I feel about the whole thing. Natalie Wood's death is suspicious, and my feelings have always been thinking about Robert Wagner being the prime suspect. Christopher Walken plays suspicious, but I don't think there is blood on his hands, but money in his account to stay silent. I wonder whether Maureen O'Hara asked Natalie what happened when she transitioned into the metaphysical.
  17. Anyone want to help start a chapter/ meetup group?
