Lana was quite correct with her answer, flash took it to a whole new level. Excellent! My wording should have read returned, winning the Oscar. Another cast member in another role but you saw through the error. Lana's thread.

Thanks, I wrote the wrong word, flash.
In this emmy winning TV series, there was an episode, an original production from '59. This actor had a role and later returned to a movie version in a different role winning the Oscar for Best Actor..the sponsor of this series had certain limitations in the sensitive dialogue. Who was this actor and title of the episode, and film?

My first film I made with the man that boosted my star was in 1941...the last was in 1967 when we both died during its production. The film that every little girl knows so well was made in 1950, a one word title. Can you identify that role, me, and my "maker"?
-
Hint: 1960 film
-
Maybe it's Claude Akins in an episode titled 65 Days is A Long, Long Way?
-
Maybe Richard Egan from Empire?

Annoying disturbances caused by a common factor in a scene from each of these films. Chronological order:
THE 39 STEPS
THE PALM BEACH STORY
AUNTIE MAME
THE CHRISTMAS STORY

Are you Roland Petit?
-
Les, Vanessa and Glen Miller's Little Jug?
-
Good hint. You must be Andre de Toth who directed The House of Wax in 3D?
-
THE STING
next: movie title 3 wds
UNDO YARN SEVEN

That's it, Miles. Interesting how we learn their occupations but no names (except #8 and #9). Your turn now.

Chloe Grace Moretz was in Bolt with Malcolm McDowell
Malcolm McDowell was in The Passage with Patricia Neal
Patricia Neal was in Hud with Paul Newman
next: Carey Mulligan

The Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue
Nightmare on Elm Street

Hint: Every little girl knew my voice by the time she was over the age of 4. Oh, it was such a jolly little voice.

A certain movie had 16 or more people in its cast ('50s). Of those cast members with speaking roles, only 2 had a name. Movie was an adaptation of a play made for TV. Which film?

Would you like this thread Silverwolf? You have such good posers.

cujas! Lucky I got hit on the head with a violin. You've got to be talking of Robert Downey Jr playing the best literary detective, Sherlock Holmes?
-
Lina Lamont played by Jean Hagen in Singin' In the Rain?
-
Shaky on this one, The Bigamist has a scene with Edmund O'Brien on a tour bus. Maybe they point out Edmund Gwen's house w/Edmund Gwen as the adoption investigator?

Thanks, thread open.
