Not Ellery. This was a 30 minute series that ran from 1949 to 1954. The show was actually a successful radio show in the 40's. It has a one word title. Hope that helps. Hint: Actor is one of an elite few that holds the triple crown. ??? -

Thank you Lana...There was a 30 minute mystery series in the early 50s featured an episode about a doctor working in China who is asked to leave. After refusing, a Communist general murders his own wife to frame our doctor of the murder who then is sentenced to death. Series and star of this episode?? Hint: Series followed a successful run on classic radio. -
