I'd say that *Little Big Man* is largely from the point of view of the Indians, but related to us by a white man living as an Indian. There is a difference. Also, in *Little Big Man*, Jack Crabbe is not some sort of hero-leader that the Indians need to follow, unlike the other patronizing films mentioned. I actually happened to read the book Little Big Man before the film came out. The book is a great read, and the film is rather faithful to it.

While I'm not really a Disney animation fan, I'll readily admit that *Fantasia* is a masterwork. Dance of the Hours is easily my favorite segment. It's also worth noting that Disney and Stokowski invented multichannel audio for this film.

I know I've seen it before, but long ago. I'm looking forward to seeing it, when I get off work. -

The single film I would most like to see replayed is the 1944 release version of *The Big Sleep*. -
YOU are guest programmer which 4 films would you pick

*Christmas Holiday* 1944, a virtually never seen noir *Johnny Nobody* 1961, a British neo-noir, with a religious twist *O, Lucky Man* 1973 Starring Malcolm McDowell and Helen Mirren - a strange, surrealistic social commentary, with a continuous score by Alan Price of The Animals. one of my all-time favorite films. *Hana-Bi* aka *Fireworks* 1997, a Japanese neo-noir, staring, written, and directed by Takeshi Kitano. A bloody gangster film, but with a heart, a soul, and a moral compass. Currently OOP on DVD. -

On my HDTV, a 4x3 image has exactly the same size on the SD channel, as on the HD channel. And, as RazorX wrote, a LB image will fill the screen when viewed on the HD channel, but must be zoomed to fill the screen on the SD channel. I DVRed the film from TCM SD. It did look overscanned. I enjoyed the film, but it is very unlike other Bunuel films I have seen, and not among my favorites of his. Still, I am glad to have seen it.

Which H. Bogart film was this . . .?
ValentineXavier replied to AllDayTVWatcher's topic in General Discussions
Bogie didn't want to work with a methot actor... -
He delighted in doing evil, but claimed that the Devil, acting through others, such as Esmeralda, made him do it. To absolve himself of evil, and blame it on others, made him that much more evil, in my eyes.

The ep I read about was never shown anywhere. Possibly, Rod wrote the script, but it wasn't shot. I think it was shot, but I read about it in the 60s, or 70s, so I don't remember for certain. Also, it was a whole southern town that turned into pigs, because of their racism, and ran squealing through the streets. That's very different than EotB. That sounds like a good one. I'd sure like to see it. But, it is not the one I'd heard about, which was never shown at all. -

I believe one of the actors was in the original Star Trek series. It involved two men in an attic and a sword. I remember a mention being made that it was not released into syndication because of racial issues. I recall reading, way back when, that there was an ep of T-Zone that was never shown, because of "racial issues," and it had a town of southern racists who all turned into pigs. I wonder if that was the same ep you have heard about. I wonder if it still exists? I'd sure like to see it! -
In place of each photo, I'm seeing a little message screen that says: >Upgrade to pro today >Bandwidth exceeded >Photobucket But, when I click on them, I can see them. Photos in earlier posts display that way too, unless they were posted by someone else. Edited by: ValentineXavier on Feb 21, 2012 7:49 PM

Yeah, and I left out the second "C" altogether. I must be going blind, I do know better. I hope Miss W. and LZCutter didn't see it before I corrected it, they'd think I was trying to insult him...
