Yes, he was in the She Creature. It's not the best movie by any means, but it's nice to see him in a leading role later in his career. I do know he enjoyed making this film because he preferred the off-beat roles. Alibi is basically the film that made him well known among the general public. It's a bit creaky, being an early talkie, but he's very good in his role. Another you should check out, also directed by Roland West, is The Bat Whispers. I updated my website with a new flash intro using a clip from that film. I thought it was very fitting. Hope you guys like it!

You can bet I'll be recording this one! This is one of the Chester Morris films that I've never seen on TCM before. Of course, it's being shown in the middle of the night! Thanks for alerting everyone!

Hi Mary, Thank you so much! You're a peach! Glad you appreciate my website. I also have never understood why no one has written a book on him yet, but that may change very soon as I may be getting a contract to start work on a "films of" style book on Chester. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed all goes as planned! I think there are so many stars who deserve more attention. Another actor who I think deserves a book is Warren William! I know he has many fans here as well! Thank YOU again..and everyone who took the time to check out my site and reply me. I appreciate it! Sarah

I just want to say thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments you took the time to leave here for me. It means a lot. I'm glad there are more Chester Morris fans out there. I also think he's "wicked cool" and "underrated" and does not deserve to be forgotten. I'm hoping this website will help get him the attention he deserves. As for the man who claimed to be the grandson of Chester Morris, he actually is the grandson. While doing research for my website I found out the names of the children that Chester's daughter had and that is how I got into contact with him and one of his brothers. He's a really nice man. I do know though that there are a lot of fakers out there, people who pretend to be related to deceased classic stars and even people who claim to be the actors themselves (obviously, not the deceased ones! lol!) I am not sure why Chester never made it up there with Bogart or Robinson. He definitely had the talent for it, imo.

Hi Miss G, Wow, thank you so much for your kind words about my website. It means a lot to me. It's only been online for a short time so I'm still trying to get the word out and I had a feeling the TCM message boards would be a good place to start. Yes, it did take a lot of time to put this website together. I had started it several years ago, got busy with life, never finished it and then was inspired by my movie crazy fiance who runs [The Midnight Palace|http://www.midnightpalace.com] to finally get around to completing it and so I did. Glad you like it! Have a great weekend, Sarah Ps:- I agree about the beautiful eyes comment, but I may be a bit biased.
