For Shampoo, Carrie Fisher had one of her first roles in that movie, and later starred in Star Wars.

Dragonwyck is one of my favourite movies of the 40s, and everyone I talk to has never even hear of it, so it's cool to find this discussion here! Just love Price's performance in this one! One of his best.
I actually read the book that this movie was based on this summer, and it answers some of your questions. For one, seeing the movie it's weird that Katrine is never seen again after her mother dies, but in the book she is sent away to live with an aunt.
I highly recommend checking out the book, it was actually much more exciting than the movie, and of course there's a lot more that happens (for example, Nicholas gets to meet his favourite writer, Edgar Allen Poe!).
But I really love watching this movie. Vincent Price is so hot!!

I know everyone will think I'm crazy for saying this, but I don't care:
I hate 2001: A Space Odyssey! Sure the special effects were kinda cool and all, but the story is disconnected, and the film is so boring I fall asleep whenever I see it. No one wants to see monkeys run around doing nothing for over thirty minutes! (I had to fast forward that part) And then there is some interesting stuff going on with the astronauts in the middle of the movie, but it slows down so much after that that I fall back asleep! I don't even know how the film ends because I can't stay awake! Why anyone can call this one of the best films ever made, I don't know! And I loved Stanley Kubrick's other movies: A Clockwork Orange, Lolita, The Shining... 2001 just gets on my nerves.
THERE I'VE SAID IT!!!
