i have been having the same problem here in new york, where are you? TWC does not understand it, they have been to my house three times, replaced the box and repaired the connection in my building, they still seem bewildered by it. very annoying, also when movies are on late at night, get a blue pop-up saying "press any button to continue watching this channel" if I am not watching live, the screen also goes black but for only about two minutes and then the signal returns. however the other blackout issue is only resolved when I change the channel to another channel and then return to TCM in HD

tried to record Orphee last night off HD channel here in manhattan, got the same pop-up I normally get on the non HD channel, a blue sign pops up saying "Press any button to continue watching this channel" then the screen goes black for about 60 seconds and the picture restores. TWC has sent servicemen out three times and the last one now says the problem is in my building after changing my box and first two said there was no problem. anyone else dealing with this issue???

yes, constant problems with TCM signal. On TWC in NYC, have had service men out twice and had box replaced. problems as follows:
On channel 782, TCM in HD channel signal often freezes then screen goes black with only sound, picture can only be restored by changing channel and then returning to 782. otherwise signal stays black. On channel 82, TCMs analog channel, a sign will come on the screen on late night movies. It states that one must press any button on the remote control in order to continue watching this channel. If the button is not pressed the channel blacks out for a minute or two before coming back on. TWC of NYC insists they have never heard of this before though the technicians say they have heard of this. If you are having similar problems with your signal please reply and please report to TWC

When is TCM going Hi-Def?

Did you notify TWC. I have a feeling the pop-up is TCM's way of sabmarining those of us who record movies that are on late to watch later.
