What was that old movie where this vagrant moved into a mansion when the owner went away every year at the same time? I think the old guy invited some of his homeless friends in with him.

Its about an Immigrant that came to Canada or the U.S and became a logger cutting down tress.

He meet a young woman fell in love and married her.They had many children.They were very happy and then the wife became ill and past away.The husband ,grief stricken over the loss of his wife,also became sick and died.The oldest child,a boy around 13, gathered his brothers and sisters and began looking for people that were willing to take his family members in. One by one he found them a home.

I've seen this in the past few months but can't remember the name.

I'm trying to find a movie that I just saw maybe the last half of on TCM quite awhile back. Don't have much to go on. It's a comedy I think. It was about a family, the sons were in the war or had just returned. The lived in a large house in town. The only scene I distinctly remember was there was some kind of event going on in town and to make some money they were charging folks to park their cars in their driveway. Hilarity ensued when someone tried to get their car out. I know it's not much to go on. I don't remember any of the actors. Hopefully some of you can help us out because we'd like to see it again.
