It would be nice seeing this 1939 b&w Paramount film again on television. While the script is more of a soap opera than the actual biography of Victor Herbert, the musical numbers are well done by Allan Jones, Susanna Foster and Mary Martin. So far, it has not been released on DVD.

It wouod be a perfect time for TCM to show "Christmas Holiday" starring Deanna Durbin and Gene Kelly. It is an excellent film that shows the acting ability of Ms. Durbin.

I hope that TCM shows "Mokey,"a charming 1942 MGM film starring the then juvenile Robert Blake.
It's worth viewing!
