  9. Hints: appeared in MGM films with stars--Eleanor Powell, Mickey Rooney and Lana Turner. Simply hitched with the top 40's bandleader--dead-giveaway!
  10. This 40's actress was a favorite at a top Hollywood studio, though never a star. She was featured in a 40's series and then married one of the 40's most iconic musicmen.

  18. Miles--before I ever went to England, I got a thing for Fish & Chips because Arthur Treacher, Hollywood's favorite butler, had a franchise in my hometown. And they tasted like the real thing! Next: Famous theme song for a famous solo musician. The song came from a 40's wartime drama about 2 star-crossed lovers: a girl with a criminal record and a shell-shocked soldier. Hint: it was also the the name of the movie.
  19. Ralph Bellamy starred in State of the Union on Broadway with Ruth Hussey. Hussey co-starred in the Philadelphia Story, where Jimmy Stewart won the Oscar for Best Actor. Frank Capra directed Hepburn and Tracy in the film version of The State of the Union.
  20. This is Fred's signature tune--They Can't Take That Away from Me. He sang it to Ginger in Shall We Dance, but no dance. More than 10 years later in Barkleys of Broadway they did it up right with a song and dance. Lav--I got one for you--What was the name of the musical conductor of the show they were dancing in? He appears on camera. Hint: he was the husband of another MGM musical star.
