I went to a lecture once with Truffaut and he refused to speak in English. He had a translator from England who didn't know American terminology. It was very funny because Truffaut thought the translator didn't know English well because we, the audience, couldn't understand English terminology.
All in all, Truffaut was very embarrassed.

They used to tell a joke about it--The producer had the good taste not to ask Lana Turner to star in it!

Sue-Sue--What I meant was I had the record. When I was in school Peter Nero held a recital. He was the only pianist who could mix classical themes with popular music and maintain the credibility of both.
