  1. I'm not an authority on Cagney--only Astaire. Where did you dig this one up? James Cagney and Joan Blondell appeared on Broadway in "Penny Arcade". WB bought it and them and retitled it "Sinner's Holiday". It's been over 25 years since I read Cagney's Autobio--are you reading it now? Bloody good question! Edited by: cujas on May 23, 2011 6:49 PM
  2. Stephen Boyd was in *The Best of Everything* with Joan Crawford.

  7. Fi--actually Pat Boone made a lot of money "covering" black rock records for the white audience. Just as the black artist was about to make a splash with a hot 45--Pat covered it and took the mainstream audience. I believe his most famous/or infamous as some may see it was Little Richard's Tutti Frutti and then there was Fats Domino's "Ain't That a Shame".
  8. "We'll order our meals a la carte That's expensive!" Miles, That would be correct. Your turn--

  12. Miles--"Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart" was Judy's audition song at MGM--so the story goes. Next let her rip-- "On opening nights, your name in lights, Why we won't stop 'til you reach the top--" Not hard--performer (s), movie etc, etc. Edited by: cujas on May 21, 2011 5:58 PM
  13. J'y suis--I with you here--have you got an itty bitty hint?
  14. SUNSET BOULEVARD is certainly at the top of my list--and any list worthwhile. FYI--to paraphrase Tina Turner --"What's The Beatles got to do with it?"
  15. Hey--to Mr. 6 too-- I thought nobody cared a hang about who actually shot the movies and was really responsible for the film's look. Leave it to heaven-- Mr. 6, it's all about 6. Edited by: cujas on May 21, 2011 5:33 PM
  16. *Touch of Evil Eyes* next: weekend
  17. A 6'3" White talking rabbitt-- *Harvey* next: a luxury car
  18. Fi--I think the Richard Widmark role for you is Jefty--with or without June as Ida.--If you can't get June, I'd be glad to play Ida's part. Edited by: cujas on May 21, 2011 5:25 PM Edited by: cujas on May 21, 2011 5:26 PM
  19. Fi--I just bought *Royal Wedding*--He was also tuff dancing on the ceiling in this movie. When I watch that number I put my head upside down for pure appreciation.
