  1. When I lived in Chicago, many moons ago, I went to see Bobby Womack at the Lincoln Park venue across from the original Chicago Playboy Club--talk about Sexist--

I went because the song he wrote for The Stones was my favorite--

"I used to love her, but it's all over now".

I ended up that night at the Playboy Club with Chuck Mangione--of all people--he'd just hit it big with some song. And I can testify that a pro-feminist woman can have a very nice time at the Playboy Club--it's bar and food were superb. I don't know if they have them anymore.

PS--Where I come from we call a questionable girl "Fast".--You can guess why.

  2. Simone Signoret was one of the greatest actresses and biggest movie stars of the Post-War French Cinema. She was the first French Actress to win the "Best Actress Oscar" for *Room At the Top" in 1958.

She also won international acclaim in Clouzot's *Les Diaboliques* in 1955. Her second husband was the equally talented and famous French Actor/Singer, Yves Montand.

  3. I got *The Black Swan* for Xmas. What kills me is that he looks and acts so modern--he would be right up there on the screen today--with the best of them--no time lost.

Tyrone Power was a great actor--in spite of his great beauty--Billy Wilder knew it--because he hinged *Witness for the Prosecution* on Ty's performance.

    What an actor/What a man!

  4. Well, Mr. Miles, you may be too good for me. But I've stumbled upon a song, not from a musical, that might interest you.

"You said that our love will grow together

    'Cause you're mine all mine

But dynamite love won't grow an inch

If you don't take your time."

Song is from a non-musical but is sung by a well-known singer.

Serves as the theme song for a character in this movie.

Please give us the song title, movie, and singer

    Miles--It's all yours--

  5. Knowing you--i'm guessing they all starred in movie with themes and/or soundtracks by Burt Bacharach--

I can name a few off the top of my hat--

    Butch Cassidy--Newman

    Casino Royale--Niven

    Lemmon--April Fools

I'll let you do the rest.

  6. You can just imagine what goes on in most families. The sad part is there is no one to share the pain with--so many people feel they have to hide it. And it seems when you need help the most in your community, people turn their backs on you and laugh at your misfortune. Human nature can be rather cruel at time.
