Yes, Yes--Really well played! Fi's turn--

Maybe so--But I still LOVE Maurice Chevalier--He is truly the greatest proponent of the European Music Hall Performer. My second choice would Stanley Holloway (Doolittle in "My Fair Lady).

It's my fault--I want a credit that all 4 have in common, s'il vous plait.

Maybe so--but he was an evil man and a murderer also in "The Earrings of MMe." and he stoled Jean Gabin's role in Pepe le Moko with Algiers--copied it verbatim--or whatever. So I guess he's a murderer and a thief. NY hotel and restaurant people said he was also a bad tipper. Well--I guess we ought to give him the chair.

Yes--of course that's a correct answer, even though it's not the one that I was thinking of. I wanted a more specific answer. Fi's turn--

Last call for one of the least known but most trusted choreographer of the Golden Era of both Broadway and Hollywood. Dance in a movie with Garbo. Worked with both Astaire and Kelly. Actually discovered Kelly. Died while choreographing the movie "Pal Joey". see below for even more details on this dance legend.

Hint: I may have been the hoofer's choreographer because I worked both with Kelly and Astaire. I even directed. And aside from my landmark choreography on Broadway and in Hollywood, I'm best known for dancing with Garbo in a movie. (See originial question below) Edited by: cujas on Apr 27, 2011 6:44 PM
