  1. Miles, you always think right. This next is a song for you from Berlin's "Easter Parade" and sung by Astaire--"Happy Easter!" Miles is up--
  2. Please note prior original question: This dancer/ choreographer worked with both Kelly and Astaire.
  3. No takers--These 2 were Executives and Veeps for MGM but their skills would have made Frank Nitti envious.
  4. Do you want to give us a little hint?

  8. This dancer/choreographer is little remembered today except among dancers and film fans. But his legacy and contribution to the musical on Broadway and in film is vast. He studied Russian Ballet with a Bolshoi Master, taught dance to a future musical movie star, discovered a future musical movie star and choreographed both Broadway and Hollywood musicals. He even directed two films. Hint: Liza said he directed with his feet. Can you name him, his proteges and his several of his films? 9. Please note the prior question Hint--these were the go-to-guys at MGM for damage control--or should I say felony control.
  10. Filter, flavor, flip-top box. Next: This actress is my favorite film mother. Not maudlin, but warm and rather sophisticated. She was the mother of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn among others. Her ability was so vast that she even portrayed presidential mothers on the stage and on TV.
  11. Yes, and I can remember when I stayed home from high school to see in on reruns. All yours Skipper--
  12. In this horror movie, the knighted actress Gladys Cooper is so hot that she actually goes up in flames.
  13. Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne were the 1st couple of the Broadway Theatre in the 20th Century. One of their popular plays became the basis for a Golden Era musical that starred Golden Era Movie Stars. Can you name the musical and its stars?
  14. I had the 45 of Dion's "Little Diane"--I wore that out.
  15. Rex Harrison--Prof. Henry Higgins in *My Fair Lady* Shirley Booth--Lola in *Come Back Little Sheba* Anne Bancroft--Annie Sullivan in *The Miracle Worker* Jose Ferrer--Cyrano de Bergerac Edited by: cujas on Apr 20, 2011 7:57 PM
  16. Fi, The Supremes were pushed by Motown, not because they were the best singers, but because they were the best choices to front Motown to White America. These girls had to look, act and talk in a certain way to get Motown on "The Ed Sullivan Show", to The Copa in Vegas and into the hearts of the guys at Yale. Eli, Eli--The Supremes were the first Motown Act to break in their act at New Haven.
  17. Fi, you're right with the surfing--but that jerky Mike Love was quite a lady's man, so they say.
  18. Julie "Cry Me A River" London. The guys said her album covers were so great that they didn't care how she sang. (Since I'm not a guy, I prefer Barbra singing "Cry Me A River"). Edited by: cujas on Apr 20, 2011 7:22 PM
  19. Lucy broke into Cornel Wilde's Hotel suite that was just above hers and Rickie's. The Movie Star in question owned a big mansion. Lucy went over his wall and broke into the house.
  20. This has to be one of Bette Davis' favorite actresses-- Gladys Cooper
  21. The movie is little known but this was a starter film for a man who became a fine director at Fox and later on TV. *The Undying Monster*
