GARY COOPER
YUP!

Fi, The Supremes were pushed by Motown, not because they were the best singers, but because they were the best choices to front Motown to White America. These girls had to look, act and talk in a certain way to get Motown on "The Ed Sullivan Show", to The Copa in Vegas and into the hearts of the guys at Yale. Eli, Eli--The Supremes were the first Motown Act to break in their act at New Haven.

Fi, you're right with the surfing--but that jerky Mike Love was quite a lady's man, so they say.
-
Julie "Cry Me A River" London.
The guys said her album covers were so great that they didn't care how she sang.
(Since I'm not a guy, I prefer Barbra singing "Cry Me A River").

Lucy broke into Cornel Wilde's Hotel suite that was just above hers and Rickie's.
The Movie Star in question owned a big mansion. Lucy went over his wall and broke into the house.

This has to be one of Bette Davis' favorite actresses--
Gladys Cooper

The movie is little known but this was a starter film for a man who became a fine director at Fox and later on TV.

Well, you don't call yourself Lana for nothing,
You've probably seen all the MGM movies of the '40's.
Next up--Presenting Lana
-
This cinematographer was a genius at technicolor; so it stands to reason, that his home studio had the top reputation for their style of technicolor.
Hint: The lady in the tuttifuitti hat.

Hooray for Hollywood!
next: These two guys were MGM executives who didn't spend a lot of time worrying about scripts or story ideas. Their main jobs were covering-up any serious scandal--we're talking about felonies such as, murder or vehicular homicide here--that may have involved a major Metro star.
Word was they knew where the bodies were buried and who really had committed the deed.

I can't find Barrie Chase with Gene Kelly--can you tell us what movie that was?
All the others seem to be quite correct.

While searching for the doctor, the escaped insane convicted murderer, decides to wait in a bar across the street. Very noir.

Truth of the matter is that I spent much of the summer reading a bio on Peter Lawford. I should have have remembered "Phoebe". But what I did remember was that he appeared in a "Lassie" movie and hated the dog very much.--Seems he didn't care that much for Asta either.
Next: Lucy in Hollywood--she breaks into this star's house and pretends to be a bear rug. Shouldn't be too hard.

In this bombed out village, people of different classes have to share housing until the village is restored. Hint: Depardieu is one of several stars in the cast.
-
Yes, Rico, Rossi and Youngblood--
Fi's up--
-
yes--this actor was a champion clay pigeon shooter--I believe they call it Skeet Shooting.

I've watched *Heaven Can Wait* many times and it always makes me cry.
*Ball Of Fire*--saw it once last month--so boring, had a hard time getting through it. But Allen Jenkins was very funny--thought the old codgers were boring and dated. The gangster angle was a bit cliched too. But, of course, the 2 Movie Stars shined throughout.
-
"It Only Happens When I Dance With You"--that was Astaire and Ann Miller's song and dance in *Easter Parade*. She was his dance partner when the movie opens. She goes off on her own--and they do another dance for old time sake at the top of the Wintergarden.
-
Rod Taylor was in *The Time Machine* with Alan Young.

Niven co-starred in *Please Don't Eat the Daisies!* with Doris Day.

"Yes we can can!" said Little Nicola.

I had the 45 of Dion's "Little Diane"--I wore that out.
